1. Internal component malfunction: Magnetic drive pumps operate by using magnetic coupling to transmit rotational energy without direct mechanical contact. However, if internal components malfunction—such as misalignment between the pump and motor shafts resulting in excessive deviation, or excessive shaft power—friction can develop in the rotating parts, eventually leading to overload. This issue typically arises after a certain period of operation. To prevent it, simply perform regular maintenance and inspections as required.
2. Improper selection: Magnetic drive pumps are now available in a wide range of models, allowing users to choose the most suitable type and specification based on the operating conditions and process parameters. However, if the wrong parameters are selected, resulting in pump performance that fails to meet the actual process requirements, overload may occur. To avoid this, it is recommended to reserve approximately 10% margin in pump capacity when selecting equipment, and to carry out the selection process under the guidance of qualified technical personnel.
